Introducing Kritiqal Care

Hey folx, Nate here. The world is really grim right now. Most likely you are listening to this while quarantined in your home, and if you're not practicing social distancing you really should be.

Hey folx, Nate here. The world is really grim right now. Most likely you are listening to this while quarantined in your home, and if you’re not practicing social distancing you really should be.

Nobody knows what the world is going to look like once the pandemic is over, but what is certain is that things are going to continue to be challenging for weeks and months to come. It’s hard not to fixate on each new horrific update, which means more than ever we need to find ways to bring joy into our lives because otherwise this is going to be even more difficult.

Kritiqal Care is a show about games, community, and hope in the midst of a global pandemic. It is my small attempt to give people something positive while life feels incredibly bleak. I know it may seem weird to be talking about games when so much is happening, but I hope that this show might give you an outlet to engage with something less horrific than the news cycle, without pretending that nothing is happening.

Each episode I’ll be joined by someone from the games community to check-in with how they’re doing, what they’re working on, and how games are helping them ride out this period of isolation and uncertainty. These are dark days, but we can’t forget about each other even if we can’t meet face to face. I hope this helps you, or maybe someone you know.

You can subscribe now to the show on Pocket Casts, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get podcasts.

I’ll have episodes coming out soon, but until then, stay safe, stay home, and know that this is not game over. We’re still fighting. We’re gonna get through this.
